If you live or work in Grimsby and want to help decide which local ideas receive investment, you can apply to become a Decision Maker.
Decision Makers review ideas for projects and take part in sessions to decide how available funding is distributed.
Their role is to listen, consider different ideas and make fair decisions for the good of the town.
You don’t need to have special qualifications, just be passionate about building a positive future for the town, and excited about the work that others are doing to make that happen.
We’d like as many different people from across the area to take part and play a role. You’ll need to:
Commit time for training in early November (a few hours).
Read and comment on proposals (early December)
Set aside a day for decision making events in mid-December.
While these sessions are serious about decision making, they also designed to be social and enjoyable. Support is available for people to ensure they can attend.

Applications are not first come, first served. Decision Makers will be selected from applicants using a randomised process designed to create a cross-section of the town in each group. That means a mix of post codes, ages, backgrounds and gender.
The deadline for this form is 5pm on Monday 19 October 2026 — the same deadline as the funding applications for both funds. Once we have received your form, we will be in touch with the next steps.
